Streetspace brings together client engagement, design, technical, commercial and construction expertise to deliver permanent buildings and covered environments for education estates.
We are a relatively small, integrated team, which means people work closely across disciplines and have a clear connection to the projects they help create. There are fewer layers between identifying what needs to be done, making a decision and seeing the result delivered on site.

More involvement in the whole project
Our projects rarely arrive as a finished design ready to be processed through the business. They develop from client requirements, site constraints, budgets and operational challenges, with different disciplines contributing as the solution takes shape.
That gives people greater exposure to the decisions behind a project. Designers work alongside those responsible for cost and construction. Technical issues are resolved with an understanding of what will happen on site. Delivery teams have context for the decisions made before construction begins.
It also means individual contributions are visible. In a smaller team, good ideas do not have to travel through layers of management before they can influence a project, and people have the opportunity to take genuine ownership of their work.

Our work ranges from teaching and specialist buildings to dining halls and substantial covered sports and social environments. Sites, briefs and constraints change, so the work rarely becomes a repetition of the last project.

The work ends in something tangible. Our projects become working parts of school and college estates, used every day by the students and staff they were designed and built for.
